What you will do
As a Data Engineer at Sigmatic Analytics, we’re looking for a solid understanding of the Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform stack, with expert-level proficiency in SQL. You will work closely with a dynamic team on various client delivery projects, where you will code, test, and implement data solutions using the required technologies. Your work will help assess, accelerate, and amplify value for our customers.
We are seeking a self-starter and a problem solver who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable translating technical information for non-technical audiences while ensuring the successful execution of complex data engineering projects.
How you will do it
We understand that technology is constantly evolving, but we'd love to hear from you if you have strong working knowledge and platform expertise in two or more of the following technologies:

Databricks

Dedicated SQL Pools

Synapse Analytics
-
Data Factory
To set yourself up for success, you should have in-depth knowledge of the following languages: Apache Spark, SQL, and Python, coupled with solid development practices. Additionally, familiarity with supporting Azure platforms such as Data Lake, Key Vault, and DevOps is essential. Experience with Databricks should include hands-on expertise with Delta, Unity Catalog, cluster management, and proficiency in performance tuning and debugging.

Work Location
We’re a remote-first company, but offer on-site options as well. Team collaboration is important, so occasional meetups are encouraged. Candidates must reside and be eligible to work in the UK.
