What you will do
At Sigmatic Analytics, we’re seeking a Lead Data Engineer with a strong command of the Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform and expert-level knowledge of SQL. In this role, you’ll collaborate within a tight-knit, agile team to deliver impactful data solutions for our clients.
You’ll be expected to design, build, test, and deploy scalable data pipelines and architecture that unlock meaningful insights and drive business value. This position requires hands-on technical excellence, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to move swiftly from concept to execution.
How you will do it
We understand that technology is always evolving, but to thrive in this role at Sigmatic Analytics, you should bring solid hands-on, architectural, and platform experience with at least two or more of the following:

Databricks

Dedicated SQL Pools

Synapse Analytics
-
Azure Data Factory
To set yourself up for success, you should also have deep technical expertise in:

Apache Spark, SQL, and Python

Proven development best practices and scalable design patterns

Supporting Azure tools and services including Data Lake, Key Vault, Azure DevOps
Within Databricks, we’re especially interested in your experience with:

Delta Lake

Unity Catalog
-
Cluster configuration, performance tuning, and debugging

Work Location
We’re a remote-first company, but offer on-site options as well. Team collaboration is important, so occasional meetups are encouraged. Candidates must reside and be eligible to work in the UK.
